Keeping safe with cabinet heaters

Energy Safety is urging consumers to take care when using cabinet heaters.

Always follow the 'Heater Metre Rule'. Never stand directly in front of the heater, especially when operating the controls. Cabinet heaters have a very high heat output and may ignite clothing and furnishings that are too close.
