Alternative Standards
Products sold in NZ are required to comply with NZS (or AS/NZS) Standards, in order to be recognised as being safe. Alternatively, when products cannot comply with the applicable Standards due to innovation or the introduction of alternative materials, such products may be certified as complying with AS/NZS 3820.
Compliance with other, international, Standards, subject to recognised variations (deviations) may be useful as the basis for establishing compliance with AS/NZS 3820.
