Recognised Testing Laboratories
For Test Reports to be recognised for compliance with NZ’s Electrical Safety Standards, the Test Reports must have been produced by a testing laboratory which has been accredited by either IANZ or NATA or in accordance with one of NZ’s MRAs.
Accredited laboratories located in New Zealand may be found by searching the database on the IANZ website. To find a list of accredited testing laboratories, please visit www.ianz.govt.nz and follow the following instructions:
- On the IANZ homepage, click on the "Directory" tab.
- Select the radio option "search for a testing inspection facility" in the webform that appears.
- Use the first drop-down box to select "LAB-ELEC (electrical testing)" (leave the other drop-down boxes blank).
- Click "GO".
This will provide you with a list of IANZ accredited testing laboratories.
Test Reports to IEC Standards are also acceptable from IEC CB scheme members.
NZ’s MRAs with:
- The EU,
- APEC EE MRA part 2 members,
- Singapore, and,
- Taiwan
all contain provision for the accreditation of testing laboratories for the accreditation of Testing Laboratories.
