Search Declarations


Below the search form are some instructions on how to best use this search function. Please read if you are unfamiliar with this search page.

  • The Secretary may remove declarations.

  • Searches of the Supplier Declaration database can be made by appliance category; make; model and supplier by using the drop down lists. Note: The "Appliance" category is a new field introduced from 10 July 2007. Appliance declarations entered prior to that date will not have a value until suppliers edit their declarations.

  • When selecting an item from the drop down list the screen will blank as the page reloads (this may take a few seconds).
  • If you choose a particular appliance type the screen will blank as the page reloads with the other drop down lists now confined to that appliance type.
  • When choosing a particular make, the appropriate model and supplier drop downs will be narrowed to that particular choice. Selecting a model will confine the supplier list.
  • You may also enter a keyword which will search the entire database except for the supplier field.
  • You may notice **ARC** or **DUP** in the Input Rating field of some declarations. These are flags that will archive old models or delete duplicate declations when a new version of the database is introduced in mid 2009.

    • Hint: Sometimes less is more. Rather than use the drop down lists to select make and model (eg "Gasman" & "DVC-25"), enter part of the model (eg "DVC") in the Keyword field. You may get more hits listed than you need but you won't miss your target if the supplier had entered something slightly different (eg "DVC 25").

    All gas appliances and specified fittings supplied by importers or NZ manufacturers after November 2002 must have a supplier declaration. Retailers and installers must ensure there is a declaration before they sell or install a gas appliance or specified fitting. (Note: As of 1 July 2009 there are no specified fittings). The requirement for a supplier declaration does not apply to the following: an "own use" appliance; an individual appliance first supplied in NZ before November 2002 and (currently) any fittings.
