Short Description
Government has approved amendments to the Electricity Regulations 1997. The amendments follow a discussion paper distributed for public comment in May 2001, and consideration of the comments received.
The Government approved amendments to the Electricity Regulations 1997 in 2002. See Electricity Regulations.
The amendments followed release of two discussion papers, of which this is the first.
The proposed amendments do not involve any increased coverage of the current Regulations. They are designed to improve electrical safety while minimising compliance costs for industry and individuals.
