Short Description
The purposes of this Act are to protect the health and safety of members of the public by ensuring the competency of persons engaged in the provision of sanitary plumbing, gasfitting, and drainlaying services; and to regulate those persons
The Act contains provisions for the licensing of gasfitters, and related matters such as defining the scope of gasfitting and exemptions such as employer licences. The Act replaces the Plumbers Gasfitters and Drainlayers Act 1976 and was created by the Plumbers Gasfitters and Drainlayers Bill.
