Gas Installations

All installations must be installed in accordance with the essential safety requirments of Part 1 of NZS 5261: Gas Installations: 2003. Except for installations that are connected to LPG cylinders with a capacity of less than 15kg, all installations must be certified by a Craftsman Gasfitter or other authorised person.

Installations will be audited on a random basis by Energy Safety, to ensure compliance and maintenance. Energy Safety considers use of safety management systems in larger installations (commercial and industrial) as an acceptable means of compliance with the requirement for maintenance of gas installations.
