Scope and Requirements for Compliance of Gas Appliance Safety Regime

Energy Safety monitors the safety of supply, installation and use of gas appliances. These appliances use all kinds of fuel gases, including natural gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). At present, a declaration regime, monitored by Energy Safety, is utilised to manage this market. There are proposals underway to introduce third-party certification to improve the credibility of this regime.
