NZ's Electrical equipment regime allows for the recognition of Approvals issued by foreign Regulators and Product Certification issued in accordance with NZ's Mutual Recognition Agreements(MRAs).

The Main Arrangement is with the Australian Regulators (ERAC).The system of recognition is established through Public Gazette Notices issued under Regulation 101 which allows "an organisation, agency, programme, or regime" to be recognised by the Ministry of Economic Development.
