Laboratory equipment

The following Standards and associated deviations may be suitable for the assessment of compliance laboratory equipment with AS/NZS 3820
IEC 61010 2nd edition family of standards subject to the deviations specified below or national and regional standards that are designated IDT to IEC 61010 2nd edition family of standards subject to the deviations specified below.
National and regional standards that are designated MOD to the IEC 61010 2nd edition family of standards may be acceptable subject to the deviations specified below.
Deviations
For a.c. equipment, the rated frequency shall be 50 Hz or the rated frequency range shall include 50 Hz.
For single-phase equipment, the rated voltage shall be at least 230 V or the rated voltage range shall include 230 V.
For three-phase equipment, the rated voltage shall be at least 400 V or the rated voltage range shall cover 400 V.
An English version of any necessary the safety instructions and markings must be supplied.
Equipment shall not be of Class O or Class OI with respect to protection against electric shock.
For portable a.c. single-phase equipment having a rated current not exceeding 10 A, that is connected to the supply by a supply cord fitted with a plug, the plug shall comply with the appropriate requirements specified in AS/NZS 3112.
