Proposed electricity (Safety) Regulations

An exposure draft of the proposed Electricity (Safety) Regulations was released by the Associate Minister of Energy and Resources in September 2009.

Submissions on the exposure draft closed on 29 September 2009.

Energy Safety has reviewed the submissions and the new regulations will progress through Cabinet in February/March 2010, and come into force in march 2010.

Proposed Gas (Safety and Measurement) Regulations
The exposure draft of the proposed Gas (Safety and Measurement) Regulations 2010 has been released by the Associate Minister of Energy and Resources.
